Preikestolen is the gentlest of the great Norwegian viewpoints, which is exactly why it gets busy. Our dawn walks leave the lodge at 04:30 in summer. You climb by headlamp through pine forest and stone steps, and step onto the plateau as the light reaches the fjord.
